Super Bowl LII

Minneapolis, MN

Jan 28-Feb 4, 2018

When I moved to Minnesota in 2015, I knew the Super Bowl was going to be played at US Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis. A construction zone at the time, I thought of what it may be like to watch my beloved Philadelphia Eagles play in Super Bowl 52 in my new home town.

I hate to spoil the surprise, but the Eagles not only played in Super Bowl 52, they beat Tom Brady and the Patriots.

Although I chose to stay home and watch the game instead of spending $4,000 to sit in the nosebleeds, I was able to take in many of the week's events. Here is a mini virtual tour of what a Super Bowl week looks like prior to kickoff.

A few of the happenings at Super Bowl Live in downtown Minneapolis including live concerts and a ski slope for races.

Several media outlets including ESPN, FOX 9, and CNN were set up downtown.

Prince's traveling wardrobe as on display in the NFL Shop.

I had the chance to attend a party hosted by the Minnesota Vikings at Randle's, owned by former Viking great, John Randle, also known by some as The Craziest Man in NFL History

Mall of America was host to both teams and most of the media during Super Bowl week. Each team stayed in one of the two hotels attached to the mall, and the media workroom and radio row were busy 24-7.
